The purpose of the programme is to introduce the youth of Gqeberha to the conversation of Climate Change and assist them in finding a position where they can start taking action using their businesses and art as a platform for driving conversation and impact. The programme will also have an ambassadorship programme called EcoMinded Creative Ambassadors which they can lean on for support in order to interpret what the severe effect of climate change means for their communities.

The session will feature informative and encourage active citizenship to tackel the effect of climate change. Participants will be inspired to take action, and they will also be introduced to EcoMinded Creative Ambassadors which they can opt to join and have access to programs and other initiatives to support them on their journey. They will also network amongst each other and form successful collaborations.

Lusanda Msebi, CYDA Founder, said: “It is important to attend the event to get the introductory content to understanding Climate Change and Renewable Energy. We intend to create an attitude in the attendees of being catalysts of change and offer the opportunity for them to join EcoMinded Creative Ambasadors.”
