GreenCape, for the Active Climate Change Citizenship for a Just Transition in South Africa project, has developed and published a toolkit to capacitate youth to engage media platforms to exercise active citizenship and enable community-led climate action.
This toolkit is for high school youth in grades 9 – 12 and aims to equip them with media and journalistic tools to engage media platforms and exercise the youth voice as active climate citizens. The youth have the potential to help communities recognise and benefit from any opportunities that could come from responding to climate change and to play an active role in taking local climate action to make their communities more sustainable and resilient.
